MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Kathleen Stockton Silvers, 9 Jun 2002

KATHLEEN STOCKTON SILVERS
BURNSVILLE – Kathleen Stockton Silvers, 73, of Woodland Hills, died 
Sunday, June 9, 2002 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. A native of 
Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bessie 
McKinney Stockton, and wife of the late Roy Silvers. A seamstress, she 
was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Wilma Garland and Mary Higgins, both of 
Micaville; a brother, Jay Stockton of Bakersville; and several nieces 
and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Baptist 
Church. Rev. Ronnie Gouge officiated. Burial followed in Garland Cemetery. 
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville
