MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Woodrow W. Slagle, 21 Dec 2004

JOHNSON CITY, TN - Woodrow W. Slagle, 92, of Carter Sells Road, died 
Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 in Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son 
of the late Windel and Rosa Ann McKinney Slagle, and husband of the 
late Lela Slagle. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur 
and Marshall Slagle; and three sisters, Mae Green, Savannah McKinney 
and Doris Dellinger. He was a self-employed sheet metal worker and a 
member of McKinley Community Christian Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. Leonard Smith Jr. and Tommy 
Thomas officiated. Burial was in McKinney Cemetery. The family received 
friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
