GLENNIE DUNCAN SPARKS

MORGANTON - Glennie Duncan Sparks, 87, formerly of Mitchell 
County, died Sunday, Mar. 23, 2003 at her home. She was the 
daughter of the late Sam and Minnie Buchanan Duncan, and wife 
of the late Grady Sparks. She was also preceded in death by two 
brothers, Dennis and Eugene Duncan, and one sister, Anna Buchanan. 
She was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Larry Sparks of Morganton; a daughter, 
Kay Small of Trenton; two brothers, Adam Duncan and Donald Duncan, 
both of Spruce Pine; one sister, Doris Sullins of Spruce Pine; 
five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services wer eheld at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Branch 
Baptist Church. Rev. Larry Sprinkle officiated. Burial followed 
in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Tuesday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine.
