BEATRICE SPARKS

SPRUCE PINE - Beatrice Sparks, 80, of Dale Road, died Sunday, Sept. 
7, 2003 at the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. She was the daughter of 
the late Stephen Daniel and Carrie Alice Harrison Hollifield. She 
was a member of Walkertown Baptist Church in Morganton.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph L. Sparks; a brother, J.D. 
Hollifield of Spruce Pine; and several nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Freedom Baptist Church. 
Revs. Todd Ayers and Milton Hollifield officiated. Burial was at 9 a.m. 
Wednesday in Grassy Creek Cemetery. The family received friends from 7 
p.m. until the service hour Tuesday at the church. Webb Funeral Home 
in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
