MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Frances Williams Spencer, 23 Feb 2005

SPRUCE PINE - Frances Williams Spencer, 84, of Azalea Lane, died Wednesday,
Feb. 23, 2005 at her home. A native of Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of
the late Pralow Goodwin and Hattie Moore Williams. She was also preceded in
death by one sister and three brothers. She was a member of Forest Hills
Presbyterian Church for 52 years.

Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Spencer of the home; sons, Charles
L. Spencer III of Spruce pine, Kenneth B. Spencer of Marion, and John Spencer
of Dayton, OH; a brother, Lemont Williams of Bennettsville, SC; a sister,
Tryphena (Tri) Odom of Bennettsville; seven grandchildren; and two great
grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Colonial Chapel of
Carouthers Funeral Home. Revs. Tom Kackadelus and Steve Williams officiated.
Burial was in Gaston Memorial Park. The family received friends from noon
until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
