MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Nave "Pap" Street, 21 Apr 2004 ----¤¤¤¤---- NAVE "PAP" STREET BAKERSVILLE - Nave "Pap" Street, 93, of Perkins Way, died Wednesday, April, 21 2004, at his home. He was the son of the late Jess and Venie Moffitt Street, and husband of the late Francis Barnett Street. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Dootsie Britt, Dorie Speller, Daisy Wright, and Darlie Hill; a daughter, Christine Street Moody; and brothers, Paul, Clifford, Ike, and Clyde Street. He was the owner and operator of Street's Garage for 42 years, and a member of Roans Chapel Church. Survivors include his sons, N. F. and R. L. Street, both of Bakersville; sisters, Vistie Parker, of Bakersville, and Pearl Sheets of Baltimore, MD; five grandsons, Alvin, Randy, Michael, Ronnie, and Keith Street; nine great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Funeral Services were at 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Revs. G. B. Garland, Roger Laws, and John Stockton officiated. Burial was at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
