MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Edward Lee Sullins, 14 Mar 2004

BETHLEHEM - Edward Lee Sullins, 73, died Sunday, Mar. 14, 2004. He 
was the son of the late Lee Sullins and Anna Pittman Sullins Faris. 
He was a retired truck driver and worked 30 years at McLean Trucking. 
He was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, where he sang 
in the choir and was a member of the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Men. 
He was a member of Hickory Masonic Lodge #343 and was a U.S. Army 
vetern of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sharpe Sullins of the home; sons, 
Randall Sullins of Claremont, Gregory Sullins and Dan Bolick of 
Hickory, and Chris Bolick of Bethlehem; a daughter, Diane Killian of 
Bethlehem; his stepfather, Edwin Steve Faris of Chandler; a brother, 
Jack Sullins of Spruce Pine; six grandchildren; and several nieces and 
nephews. 
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Bethel United 
Methodist Church. Revs. Clyde Penry and Neil Bowman officiated. Burial 
was in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. 
Tuesday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Palliative 
Carecenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, 
NC 28658, or Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 9047 Hwy. 
127, Hickory, NC 28601.
