MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Edward Lee Sullins, 14 Mar 2004 ----¤¤¤¤---- BETHLEHEM - Edward Lee Sullins, 73, died Sunday, Mar. 14, 2004. He was the son of the late Lee Sullins and Anna Pittman Sullins Faris. He was a retired truck driver and worked 30 years at McLean Trucking. He was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Mt. Bethel United Methodist Men. He was a member of Hickory Masonic Lodge #343 and was a U.S. Army vetern of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sharpe Sullins of the home; sons, Randall Sullins of Claremont, Gregory Sullins and Dan Bolick of Hickory, and Chris Bolick of Bethlehem; a daughter, Diane Killian of Bethlehem; his stepfather, Edwin Steve Faris of Chandler; a brother, Jack Sullins of Spruce Pine; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. Revs. Clyde Penry and Neil Bowman officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Palliative Carecenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658, or Mt.
