LOUISE MCKINNEY THOMAS 

Louise McKinney Thomas, 84, died Saturday, March 31, 2007. She was the 
daughter of the late George and Hester McKinney, and wife of the late Howard 
J. Thomas. She was retired from Spruce Pine Mica Company and was a member of 
Grassy Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Rachel Swan of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a son, Jerry 
Thomas of Spruce Pine; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one 
great-great-grandchild. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Burial was in Grassy Creek Baptist Church 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour 
Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of 
Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
