WANDA KING THOMPSON 

JEFFERSON - Wanda Elizabeth King Thompson, 77, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 
her home. Born in Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late David Earl 
and Hazel Farmer King, and wife of the late Joseph Roscoe Thompson.

Survivors include one son, David Thompson of Lansing; two brothers, Jimie King 
and Guy King, both of Spruce Pine; two grandchildren; and several nieces and 
nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the West Jefferson First 
Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Calvin Miller and Martin Woodruff officiated. 
Burial followed in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens. The family received friends from 
6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Badger Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to The 
American Heart Association or West Jefferson First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 
180, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
