MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Madge Braswell Tapp, 21 Sep 2004

VALDESE - Madge Braswell Tapp, 84, formerly of Mitchell County, died 
Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004 at Valdese General Hospital. She was the 
daughter of the late Forney Edward and Lovada Buchanan Braswell, and 
wife of the late Eugene Arthur Tapp. She was also preceded in death by 
a son, Charles Tapp; a daughter, Sharon Tapp; a brother, Forney Edward 
Braswell; a sister, Lillian B. Buchanan; and an adopted daughter, Leah 
Braswell Hoosier. She was a member of East Valdese Baptist Church, the 
Eastern Star, and retired from H&R Block.  
Survivors include John Braswell of Claremont, Tom Hoosier of Rhodhiss, 
Rebekah Styron of Pine Level, Nancy Braswell of the home, and Mary 
Braswell and Sharon Braswell, both of Connelly Springs; 15 grandchildren; 
and one great grandson. 

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Heritage 
Funeral Service. Rev. Terry Jordan officiated. Burial was in Fellowship 
Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 7-8:30 p.m. 
Thursday at the funeral home.
