GRACE PARSLEY THOMAS

SPRUCE PINE – Grace Parsley Thomas, 88, of Biggerstaff Road, died Wednesday, 
October 10, 2001, in a Burnsville rest home. She was the daughter of the late 
James and Julia Hall Pressnell. She was also preceded in death by a son,
Charles Wayne Riddle. She was a member of Mt.Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Parsley of Salisbury; a sister, Wilma Wilson 
of Burnsville; two granddaughters; four great grandchildren; and several 
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. J.D. McClellan officiated. Burial 
followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until 
the service hour Friday at the funeral home.
