MICHAEL GEORGE TRZPIS
SPRUCE PINE – Michael George Trzpis, 87, of Hilltop Street, died 
Sunday, May 19, 2002 at the VA Hospital in Oteen. He was a World War 
II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Trzpis of the home; two daughters, 
Valerie Senior of Poplar, and Tanya McCoy of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 
one sister, Mary Zielinski of Somersworth, NH; one brother, John Trzpis 
of Plavo, Poland; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one 
great great grandchild.
A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m.Thursday at St. Lucien’s Catholic 
Church. Father Curt Phon officiated. Burial was in Spruce Pine Memorial 
Cemetery. A rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral 
Home in Spruce Pine.
