DIXIE WALTIMEYER 

CANDLER - Dixie Waltimeyer, 81, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Fletcher 
Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Walter R. and Susanna Staton 
Wilson. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church in Candler. She was also a 
member of Beaucatcher Quilters Guild and the Women's League of the VFW.

Survivors include three sons, Doyle Wyatt of Price, UT, Dwane Wyatt of 
Painesville, OH, and Dan Wyatt of Candler; eight grandchildren; and 11 great 
grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at noon Saturday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Rev. Jackie Collins officiated. Burial 
will be in the Hughes Cemetery. The family received friends from 11 a.m. until 
the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
