GRACE P. WEBB 

BAKERSVILLE - Grace Peterson Webb, 88, of the Red Hill community, died 
Thursday, June 28, 2007 at her home. She was the daughter of the late D.H. and 
Viola Gortney Peterson. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, 
Frank, Bill, Lloyd and George Peterson. She was a member of Brummitts Creek 
Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John Webb of the home; daughters, Betty Sparks 
and Billie Harzarik, both of Bakersville; one brother, Boyd Peterson of 
Bakersville; two sisters, Mae Miller of Burnsville, and Effie Casteel of 
Spruce Pine; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces 
and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brummitts Creek Freewill 
Baptist Church. Russell Hughes and Rodney Deyton officiated. Burial followed 
in Red Hill Methodist Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. 
Saturday at Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Memorial donations may 
be made Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
