JOE SISE WISEMAN 

MARION - Joe Sise Wiseman, 93, of the North Cove community, died Saturday, Oct. 
29, 2005 in Brookside Care Center. A native of Mitchell County, he was the son 
of the late L.J. and Eva Biddix Wiseman, and husband of the late Mattie Hicks 
Wiseman. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. He 
was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughters, Betty Pendley, Judy McKinney, Patty McHan, 
Kathy Haney, Zola Wiseman and Glenda Wiseman, all of Marion, Jean Blackburn, 
Irene Wiseman, and Ada Taylor, all of Newland, Arlene Huskins and Christine 
Edwards, both of Spruce Pine, and Brenda Jennings of Glenville; two sons, L.J. 
and Dennis Wiseman, both of Marion; sisters, Joyce Riddle of Spruce Pine, and 
Prue Lilly of Odd, WV; 28 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and nine great 
great grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel 
of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Revs. David Edwards, John Crowder, Kenneth 
Huskins and Junior Hensley officiated. Burial followed in McKinney Gap 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Monday 
at the funeral home.
