NORA NOBLITT WOODY 

SPRUCE PINE - Nora Noblitt Woody died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006. A native of 
Marion, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Cora Poteat Noblitt. She 
was also preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Noblitt. She was co-owner of 
Woody's Chair Shop and was active in the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild. 
She was also a talented gardener.

Survivors include her husband, Arval J. Woody of the home; two sisters, 
Barbara Webb and Vinna Rice, both of Marion; and her nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Webb Funeral Home in Spruce 
Pine. The Revs. Matt Mills and Sibbald Lambert officiated. The family received 
friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Memorial 
donations may be made to The Nora Woody Memorial Fund, c/o Nature Conservancy, 
4705 University Drive, Suite 290, Durham, NC 27707.
