BONNIE PITTMAN WARD 

ELIZABETHTON, TN – Bonnie P. Ward, 93, formerly of Spruce Pine, died Tuesday, 
March 20, 2001. She was the daughter of the late John and Bertie Burleson 
Pittman, and wife of the late A. Ward. She was also preceded in death by 
sisters, Pearl Biddix and Lorene Buchanan, and brothers, Earl, Mack and Lee 
Pittman. She was a charter member of Berry Chapel Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her daughter, Louise McKinney of Elizabethton; a son, Lane 
Ward of Elizabethton and Spruce Pine; sisters, Ruth Minnish of Marion, Mable 
Mace of Weaverville, and Bell Pittman and Mary Buchanan, both of Spruce Pine; 
four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Grindstaff Memorial 
Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Burial was in Berry Chapel 
Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 p.m. until the service hour at 
the funeral home.
