MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Joe Buster Ward, 8 Jan 2004

BAKERSVILLE - Joe Buster Ward, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004 at 
Spruce Pine Community Hospital. He was the son of the late Jeff and 
Daisy Stevenson Ward. He was a truck driver by trade.

Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Brillhart of Abington, Va, 
and Jo Lynn Ward of Charleston, SC; brothers, Arthur and Dennis 
Ward, both of Marion; sisters, Billie Jean Slagle of Bakersville, 
and Grace Hogge of Marion; and two granddaughters. 
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cane Creek Cemetery. 
Revs. Jimmy Arrowood and Ronnie Gouge officiated. Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville was in charge of arrangements. Memorial 
donations may be made to the Mitchell County Humane Society.
