GEORGIANA HARPER WILSON
SPRUCE PINE – Georginia Harper Wilson, 88, of Greenwood Road, died 
Monday, April 8, 2002 in Spruce Pine Community Hospital. She was the 
daughter of the late Rev. Charles and Mehitable Harpter, and wife of 
the late Rev. Dr. Ernest Wilson. She was also preceded in death by a 
brother, Charles A. Harper Jr. A member of Grassy Creek Presbyterian 
Church, she was a graduate of Queens College in Charlotte, and 
Assembly’s Training School in Richmond, VA.
Survivors include sons, George A. Wilson of Clinton, UT, Thurston 
Wilson of Cartersville, GA, and Charles N. Wilson of Waldmohr, Germany; 
daughters, Nancy Bishop of Pulaski, VA, Janes Stokes of Lexington, VA 
and Laura Haberneck of Spruce Pine; 12 grandchildren; and four gret 
grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Friday at Grassy Creek 
Presbyterian Church. Revs. Mike Brazelle and Wyatt Akins officiated. 
Burial was in Newdale Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family 
received friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
