WISEMAN SPRUCE PINE – Charles M. Wiseman, 69, of Hanging Rock Road, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. He was the son of the late Jim and Octavia Wiseman. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Amos and Kent Wiseman, and a sister, Bobbie Jobe. He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday School superintendent for 30 years. He was a charter member of Green Valley Fire Department, past president of Green Valley Community Club, and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from CSX Railroad after 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Jean Wiseman, of the home; sons, James Wiseman of Hanging Rock Road, and David Wiseman of Granite Falls; daughters, Sharon Crisafulli of Plantation, FL, Susie Williams and Lesa Fisher of Hanging Rock Road, and Carolyn Miller of Spruce Pine; sisters, Buena Watson of Rutherfordton, Lela Lovelace of Spruce Pine, and Lois Touchette of New York; brothers, James Edward, Roy and Milton Wiseman, all of Spruce Pine; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. A celebration of life service was held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Rev. Jim Durham officiated. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour Thursday at the church. Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
