VIRGINIA WILLIAMS
SPRUCE PINE – Virginia Williams, 84, of Dale Road, died Thursday, April 19, 
2001 in a Spruce Pine rest home. She was the daughter of the late Rom and 
Mindy Elliott Hollifield, and wife of the late Charles T. Williams. She was a 
member of Grassy Creek Baptist Church.  Survivors include a daughter, Melba 
Harmon of Lenoir; a son, Ronald Williams of Spruce Pine; sisters, Lessie 
Williams of Marion, and Elizabeth Bradbury of Hickory; brother, Lindsey 
Hollifield of Sylva; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Grassy Creek Baptist Church. 
Revs. B.G. McMahan and Bill Williams officiated. Burial was in the church 
cemetery. The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the service hour. Webb 
Funeral Home in Spruce Pine was in charge of arrangements.
