MITCHELL COUNTY, NC - OBITUARIES - Atlas H. Williams, 9 Aug 2004

SPRUCE PINE - Atlas H. Williams, 84, of Ridge Road, died Monday, 
Aug. 9, 2004 in an Asheville hospital. She was the daughter of the 
late Alvin and Sallie Johnson Huskins, and wife of the late Cecil 
Williams. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Exan Stafford, 
and two brothers, Harold and Bill Huskins; and one sister, Thelma Hipps. 
A member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church, she was retired from Ellen Knitting 
Mill.

Survivors include two sons, Marshall Lee Williams of Spruce Pine, and Paul 
Terry Williams of Hickory; one sister, Pansy Stamey of Bakersville; and one 
brother, Bob Huskins of Spruce Pine. 
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Revs. Kim 
Thicketts and Steve Williams officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 
The family received friends from 7-9 p.m. in the chapel of Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home in Bakersville.
