LEE WOODY JUNIOR
SPRUCE PINE – Lee Woody Jr., 68, of Wallace Avenue, died Thrusday 
June 13, 2002 in a Spruce Pine rest home. He was the son of the late 
Lee and Myrtle Carpenter Woody Sr. He was also preceded in death by a 
daughter, Beverly Gurley, and a son, Greg Woody. Survivors include his 
son, Rodney woody of Spruce Pine; daughter, Diane Bennett of Bakersville; 
sister Joyce Greene of Valdese; brother, Jolly Woody of Clairmont; six 
grandchilden and one great grandchild. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday 
at Sullins Branch Baptist Church. Revs. Ken Jenkns, Billy Ledford and 
Mike Gortney will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel Cemetary. 
The family will recieve frends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at webb Funeral 
Home. Memorials may be made to assist the family with expenses, c/o 
Sullins Branch Baptist Church, 208 Sullins Branch Road, Sruce Pine, NC
