MAUDE HENLINE YOUNG 

PRUCE PINE - Maude Henline Young, 96, died Monday, March 20, 2006 in Spruce 
Pine Community Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Dock and Sallie 
Blalock Henline, and wife of the late Milton Young. She was also preceded in 
death by a son, Jim Young; a granddaughter, Kayla Young; four sisters; and two 
brothers. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Young's 
Restaurant, and was later affiliated with CedarCrest Restaurant. She was a 
member of Spruce Pine United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Young of Daytona Beach, FL, and Danny Young 
of Spruce Pine; one brother, Bill Henline of Spruce Pine; two sisters, Louise 
Stanberry of Boone, and Brite (Toots) Lyons of Christiansburg, VA; two 
grandsons; and five great grandchildren. 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Spruce Pine United Methodist 
Church. Revs. Lynda Briggs and Marion Swann officiated. Burial was in Spruce 
Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at 
Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine. Memorial donations may be made to Spruce Pine 
United Methodist Church Building Fund, 11090 Hwy. 226 South, Spruce Pine, NC 
28777; St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101; or to 
the American Heart Association.
