She was a daughter of the late Jeff and Minnie King and the wife of the late Roy Young. Granny was a charter member of Young's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church and all the pastors that have been associated with the church. She loved reading her Bible, singing, and visiting with friends as they dropped by for a visit. She has blessed every life that has ever crossed her path. She is survived by her sons: Bill Young, Wayne Young, Harold Young, and J. D. Young, all of Burnsville; one sister, Mae Silvers of Oak Ridge, Tenn. She also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Young's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Revs. Lawrence Glenn and Billy Mitchell officiated. Burial followed in the Gus Young Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p. m. on Tuesday at Yancey Funeral Service.
