Deceased  --  Jan. 4, 2001, Claude W. Yelton, age 72 of Bakersville.
Burial in Phillips Cemetery, Fork Mountain Road, Bakersville.
He was son of John Yelton and wife Laura Street Yelton, both deceased.
Survivors are Mary Yelton, widow, daughters Wanda Yelton Hoilman and Ann
Yelton Stout, both of Bakersville, Linda Yelton McFalls and Vickie Yelton
Waycaster, both of Spruce Pine, and Janice Yelton Silvers of Erwin, TN; sons
Howard, Gary and Larry Yelton, all of Bakersville and Jim Yelton of
Morganton, brother John 'Junior' Yelton of Spruce Pine, 24 grandchildren and
nine great grandchildren.
