FRANK HERMAN YELTON
BAKERSVILLE - Frank Herman Yelton, 78, of Route 1, died Wednesday, 
Sept. 4, 2002 in Yancey Nursing Center. He was the son of the late John 
and Doanie Childers Yelton, and husband of the late Edna Pauline McKinney 
Yelton. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Hoilman 
and Doanie Mae Yelton. A farmer, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Buchanan and Debra Garland, both of 
Bakersville; five sons, Lewis and Michael Yelton of Bakersville, Alvin 
and Bruce Yelton of Newland, and Steve Yelton of New Lexington, OH; six 
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersvile. Rev. Ronnie Gouge officiated. Burial 
was at 11 a.m. Friday in McKinney Cemetery. The family received friends 
from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
