JOHN JUNIOR YELTON
BAKERSVILLE - John Junior Yelton, 71, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002 at 
the Brian Center in Spruce Pine. He was the son of the late John and 
Laura Yelton. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Grace Hoilman, 
Dora Hoilman, Mandy Buchanan, Carrie Yelton and Martha Yelton; and 
brothers Fred, Jess and Claude Yelton. He was self-employed as a farmer.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Henline-
Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Bob McKinney officiated. 
Burial was at 11 a.m. Saturday in russ Memorial Cemetery. The family 
received friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
