BILLY "LITTLE BILL" LAWSON YELTON

BAKERSVILLE - Billy "Little Bill" Yelton, 75, of Richmond Road, 
died Saturday, Mar. 22, 2003 at Brian Center Healthcare in Spruce 
Pine. He was the son of the late William and Texie Hughes Yelton, 
and a farmer by trade. He was also preceded in death by a sister,
Bonnie Buchanan; and brothers, Woodrow, Pierce and James Yelton.
Survivors include his sisters, Polly and Minnie Hoilman of 
Bakersville, and Dolly Jones of Hickory; brothers, Frank Yelton 
of Bakersville, and Warfield Yelton of Spruce Pine; and several 
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Sundayin the chapel of 
Henline-Hughes Funeral Home in Bakersville. Rev. Ronnie Gouge 
officiated. Burial was at 11 a.m. Monday in Green-Young Cemetery. 
The family received friends one hour prior to the service Sunday 
at the funeral home.
