MAGGIE PARKER YOUNG

BAKERSVILLE - Maggie Parker Young, 96, of Dallas Young Road, died 
Tuesday, Apr. 27, 2003 at Brian Center Healthcare in Spruce Pine. 
She was the daughter of the late Vida and Lydia Deyton Parker. amd 
wife of the late Crawford Young. She was also preceded in death by 
a son, Dallas Young. A homemaker, she was a member of Roan Mountain 
Baptist church and Clarissa Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include four sons, Carlos Young of Satsuma, FL, Howard 
Young of Charlotte, Glenn Young of Bakersville, and Scott Young 
of Garner; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. thursday at Roan Mountain 
Baptist Church. Revs. Don Stafford, Max Holland and Steve Stronach 
officiated. Burial followed in Green-Young Cemetery. Henline-Hughes 
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may 
be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, 
NC 28777.
