Montgomery County, NC – Act For Public Buildings, 1828 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An act to amend an act passed in the year one thousand eight hundred and fifteen, entitled an "act to provide for the removal of the public buildings in the county of Montgomery" Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That James M. Lilly, James Allen, William Scarbrough, sen'r, and Auley M'Auley, be, and they are hereby appointed commissioners to supply the places of such of the commissioners appointed by the before recited act, as have died, removed or refused to act, with full power and authority, with the surviving commissioners, to do and perform all and singular the acts and deeds provided for and directed to be performed by the commisioners appointed by the aforesaid act; any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
