Cranford Deed North Carolina Montgomery County This Deed made this the 15th day of Jany 1889 by E. L. Calicott and wife V. A. Calicott of the first part and H.C. Cranford of the second part witneseth that we the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred and twenty five dollars in hand paid have sold and conveyed and by this did do sell and convey unto the said Cranford his heirs and assigns the following described parcel of Land in said County on the waters of Barnes Creek beginning on a dogwood by hickory and other pointers said Cranfords corner runs thence S 47 E to various courses to Frank Calicott line Thence with his line North westwardly to P.C. Calicotts line Thence with his lines South westwardly to the back line Thence with the whit Sanders line South to said Sanders corner in a drain near the Mill road Thence south his Cranfords line N 43 E 127 poles to the big ? containing 120 acres more or less. To have and to hold said lands and tenements together with all woods waters mines minerals here ditaments and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining to said land unto the said Cranford his heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple forever and we the party of the first part bind ourselves or heirs and assigns to forever warrant and defend the right and title of said land and tenements hereby conveyed unto said Cranford his heirs and assigns against the right title claim or claims of any and all persons whatsoever. In Testimony whereof we the party of the first part have hereto set our hands and seals the day and date above written. Also our entire interest in and to the lands we bought from Daniel Williams and with Deed being date of April 7th 1885 as by reference to said Deed will fully show the boundaries. Calicott an Acting Justice of the Peace in and for said County E.L. Calicott and Wife V.A. Calicott the grantors of the within Deed who acknowledges the due execution of the same and the said V.A. Calicott who after being by me privately examined separate and apart from her said husband or any other person touching her voluntary execution of the same freely and voluntarily without force or compulsion from her said husband or any other person and doath still voluntarily assent thereto.
