         [Order to the county Surveyor]

Montgomery County  |  To the Surveyor of Said County
Greeting you are hereby required to lay of and Survey
According to law for Joel Ledbetter a tract or 
parcel of land containing one Hundred
Acres on Long Creek Beginning at William
Wagster Beginning tree on the South side of said
Creek running down the creek to Leonard Cagles
Line and so Bound for Compliment
And Return the Same in two fair plots agreeable
To an act of assembly made and provided in Such
Case given under my hand at office, the twenty
Fourth day of February 1801

It appears from a Receipt of the Treasurer lodged 
in this Office, that Joel Ledbetter ---- has paid 
the Purchase Money For an Entry of Land of One 
hundred Acres in the County of  Montgomery which 
Entry is No. 5564.

on long creek Beginning at William 
Wagsters corner hickory on the creek branch
and Runs with Leonard Cagles line south
Seventy two East one hundred & forty pole
to a Stake in or near Carsons line then with
or near sd line North one hundred and eighty
pole to a stake then South sixty Six West
one hundred & thirty two pole to a Stake
then with or near sd Wagsters line North
and West to the Beginning ---------
