Deed   Malcom Murchinson to Robert Green

This indenture made this the 9th day of October AD 1854 between
Malcom Murchinson of the County of Montgomery and State of North
Carolina of the one part and Robert Green of the state and county
aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that for an in consideration
of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said
Robert Green the receipt whereof is here by acknowledged hath granted
bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant Bargain sell and
convey unto the said Robert Green certain tracts or parcels of land
lying and being in the county of Montgomery and state aforesaid
Bounded as follows, viz., on the waters of Cheeks Creek.  Beginning
at a hickory on the side of a hill Luke Robesons line  Thence South 3
E127 poles to a stake  4 oaks pointers thence N83 E127 Thence  N3
W127  poles Thence South 87 West 127 poles to the beginning granted
to Samuel McDonald the 4th day of March 1775.  Also one other tract
Beginning at a stake in a line of the above tract pine and red oak
pointers Thence N87 Ea63 poles with said line to the corner Stake 4
pines pointers Thence N3 W127 poles crossing the Suck Branch with a
line of the old tract to a stake in John Ewings line pien and post
oak pointers  Thence  South 3 E25 poles with said John Ewings lien to
his corner white oak on the North Bank of the Such branch   Thence
South 72 E38 poles to a pine David Muchinsons corner black gum read
oak and 2 pine pointers   Thence South with said David Murchinson
line 90 poles to his corner stake  3 pine pointers  Thence E59 poles
to a black jack   Thence South 96 poles to a Maple in a Swamp.
Thence west 80 poles to the beginning granted to Alexander Murchinson
the 9th day of Feby 1825.    Also one other tract Beginning at a pine
in Alexander Murchinsons line   Thence South 100 poles to a pine
hickory and two black gums pointers   Thence  E146 poles to a pin 2
red oak pointers   Thence N190 poles to a pine 2 pine pointers
Thence W22 poles to Alexander Murchinsons corner pine    Thence with
his line South 90 poles to his other corner pine.  Thence with his
other line W124 poles to the beginning   granted to Malcom Murchinson
the 28th day of November 1847.  Also one other tract beginning on a
pine in Alexander Murchinsons line Thence E179 poles to a Stake
Thence South 90 poles to a stake    Thence West 179 poles to a stake
Thence N90 poles to the beginning   granted to Charles McKinnon the
15th day of July 1794.   Also one other tract beginning at a red oak
2 pine pointers   Thence E44 chains & 75 limbs   Thence N21 chains &
30 limbs to a stake   Thence South 75 West 19 chains & 50 links to a
stake 2 Hickorys & pine pointers  a corner of John Ewings hundred
acre survey   Thence as his line reverse South 50 west 20 chains to a
stake mountain oak pine & Black gum pointers a corner of said Ewings
200 acre Survey   Thence West 11 chains to a stake    Thence to the
Beginning.   Granted to Malcom Murchinson the 15th day of January
1851. The above tracts containing in all 450 acres be the same more
or less  to him the said Robert Green to have and to hold with all
and Singular the hired tenets waters ways mines minerals and
apportionmances (sic) there to belonging and the said Malcom
Muchinson doth by these presents bind himself his heirs executions
and assigns to warrant and defend unto the said Robert Green his
heirs and assigns  forever the right and title of the above lands and
promises against the lawful claims or claims of all and every person
or persons whatsoever.   In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand
and seal this day and date here above written  Signed sealed and
delivered in presents of F. R. Durham

State of North Carolina Montgomery County Before C. C. Wade on this
7th day of December 1885.  Personally appeared before me W. T. Roper
the owner of the land who being duly sworn says that the grantor
Bargains or maker of the annexed deed and the witness thereto are
dead and cannot be found and that he cannot make proof of their hand
writing.  Sworn and subscribed before me and is therefore ordered
that said deed with this affidavit together be registered.
