This the thirteenth day of Janurary in the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and forty three. This indenture made between James Green of one part and Howell Green, Garret Parker, Claiborne Green, James Bowden and Robert Green all the heirs of William Green Deceased hath this day bargained and sold unto the said James Green a certain tract or parcel of land lying on both sides of Townsend fork adjoining Will Nicholson, Howell Harris, John Chappel and Robert Green which we the heirs of William Green to wit Howell Green, Garret Parker, Claiborne Green, James Bowden and Robert Green doth relinquish all the estate and right title that we have in the said land to the said James Green his heirs or assigns forever. Rush Montgomery County Personally appeared before me J. L. Bailey one of the Judges of the Sup. Court of Law & Equity for the state of aforesaid. The before named James Bowden and Jane Bowden his wife who acknowledged the execution of the forgoing instrument of writing as their wit and Deed for the purpose therein mentioned and the said Jane being examined by me privately and apart from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the ??? freely & voluntarily and without any compulsion or undue influence on the part of her said husband & that she doth now voluntarily assent thereto.
