State of North Carolina To the Surveyor of Montgomery County, Greeting: You are hereby required to survey, lay out, and admeasure, or cause to be surveyed, laid out and admeasured, for Patrick Thompson one hundred acres of Land in said County, agreeably to his Entry, a copy of which is hereunto annexed, and two just and fair Plans of such Survey do you return to the Secretary's Office at Raleigh without delay. Herein fail not. Given under my hand, at Office, this 4th day of July A.D. 1848. Entered the 25th day February A.D. 1848 on the waters of clarks creek adjoining John Deberry's lines. No. 865 D. McRae Patrick Thompson 100 acres Pursueant to a warrant No. 865 issued on the 4th day of July 1848 surveyed for Patrick Thompson one hundred acres of land in Montgomery County on Clarks Creek including the house in which he now lives lying on both sides of the western prong of said creek and including the mouth of Dumas's branch. Beginning at a red oak on the east side of the creek by a spanish oak, a red oak, a post oak and a pine pointer and runs North one hundred and twenty seven poles to a stake then west one hundred and twenty seven poles to a stake, then south one hundred and twenty seven poles to a stake then east one hundred and twenty seven poles to the beginning. Entered the 25th day of February 1848. Surveyed the 6th day of July 1848. L. Simmons, Co. Surveyor John Bird Chainers Wade Bird Patrick Thompson 50 acres Surveyed for Patrick thompson pursueant to a warrant issued on the 2nd day of October 1855 No. 1014. Fifty acres of land on the waters of Dumas Creek in the County of Montgomery. Beginning on a spanish oak by a pine & spanish oak pointer a few yards from the _____old field on the north side of the old Lawrenceville road and runs North 90 poles by a poplar by a pine 2 white oaks & a red oak pointer then East 90 poles to a hickory by a spainish oak pointer then South 90 poles to a spainish oak in a line of his 100 acre tract then direct to the beginning a due West course 90 poles.
