Mr. Alex Livingston to Miss Mary Singleton. All of Montgomery county. We are requested to announce that Rev. H. M. Ingram, on account of changes made in his appointments, will not preach at the Forks of Little River church until the 3rd Saturday and Sunday of this month. We were pleased to meet on our streets Monday, our young friend G. S. Hurley, who has been for the last two years connected with the Odell Hardware company of Greensboro. He is on an short visit to relatives in the county. We regret very much to learn that on last Friday, Mr. Robt. Crowder, a brother of Rev. W. H. Crowder, was accidently shot while out turkey hunting. The accident happened by Mr. Russell taking Crowder's shoulder for a turkey, which he saw through the underbrush and at which he fired his rifle. The ball entered Crowder's shoulder and is lodged in his neck. Dr. J. B. Douglass who was called to dress the wound &e. states that Crowder's condition is very critical. Mr. D. B. Batten moved in the Shaw house Monday. Rev. W. M. Thompson has moved to Troy. He is now the pastor of the Baptist church here. Mr. Martin Rush, of Montgomery county whom we reported in this paper as being deranged, has, we learn, died since then. He was formerly a citizen of this county and a very clever man. MT.
