T. McKinnon, who while in his store accidentally shot himself in the head, on July 23rd, 1888, being in his 68th year. We the surviving members of Sharon church are resolved: 1st That we have lost a dear friend and co-laborer in the church, the community a friend to the poor, and the church an earnest faithful, and consecrated man. 2nd That our hearts are filled with sadness because we shall see his face on earth no more: yet we rejoice in the hope that our loss is his eternal gain. 3rd That we tender his devoted family our heartfelt sympathies and commend them to the God of widow and fatherless. 4th That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the bereft family, and a copy each to the Montgomery Vidette and N. C. Presbyterian for publication. By order of the session. W. F. McAulay J. A. McRae K. A. McLeod
