                     TRIBUTE OF RESPECT
BLACKMER LODGE NO. 127  MONTGOMERY COUNTY, N. C.
   At a called meeting of the Lodge, the death of brother HENRY G. ANDREWS was 
announced, who departed this life yesterday morning (Nov. 7, 1856) whereupon 
the Worshhipful Master appointed the following brothers to draft resolutions 
expressive of our feelings on the sad event, viz.: J. H. MONTGOMERY, JAMES M. 
LILLY, and W. G. DEBERRY. The committee reported as follows:
   Whereas, it has pleased Almighty God to remove from our midst in the 
morning of manhood, our beloved brother, HENRY G. ANDREWS, who by his many 
virtues, spotless integrity, purity of purpose and energy of character, had 
endeared himself to all who knew him:
   Resolved, That we recognize in his death the hand of God and humbly bow to 
his holy will.
   That whilst we live, we will ever cherish his memory and endeavor to 
imitate his virtue.
   That whilst we sorrow at the great loss we have sustained in the death of 
our esteemed brother, we most deeply sympathize with his aged mother and 
relatives in their greater loss.
   That we do heartily tender to the members of the Kilwinning, North Carolina 
and Pee Dee Lodge, our grateful acknowledgment for their kindness and 
attention to our deceased brother during his illness and for their promptness 
in sending the corpse to the family graveyard.
   Resolved, That a blank page in our record be inscribed to his memory.
   Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family of the 
deceased, and published in the North Carolina Argus.
