Died

In Montgomery county on the 6th inst., Mr. A. W. Chambers in the 78th year of his 
age. Mr. Chambers was married in this place in 1856 to Mrs. Mary A. Barnett and 
after a sojourn of twelve months or more removed to his former residence in 
Montgomery. He was a strict member of the Baptist church and conducted himself 
with gentlemanly and christian propriety during his temporary sojourn among us. 
He was for many years afflicted with cancer on the face, from which however he 
had been partially cured. Some time since he was stricken down with paralysis and 
from which disease died on the 6th instant.
