The N. C. Argus,  23 Nov. 1850
   DIED, at his residence on Pee Dee River in Montgomery County, on the 29th 
ult., JOHN L. CHRISTIAN, ESQ., former sheriff of Montgomery County, aged 41 
years. MR. CHRISTIAN was a native of Montgomery County and maintained a 
character of great parity and integrity in the community in which he lived.
   For the last fifteen or twenty years, he had been a member of the M. E. 
Church. His loss will be greatly felt in the Community.
