C., June the 4th A. D. 1847 died at his home in Pekin, January 24th, 1888, aged 40 years, 7 months, and 20 days. He joined the Methodist Church September, 1880 under the ministry of Rev. C. M. Gentry. He loved to attend Sunday School, and loved to attend the gospel; was an affectionate and kind husband and father; read his Bible regularly and his dealing with his fellow man was strict and honest. Always ready to forgive other's faults and to acknowledge his own, he was very faithful to his Christian duties and submissive to the will of God. During the days of his suffering and as the end drew near he said he was going to rest. He leaves a sorrow stricken wife and six little children to mourn their loss. A Friend
