Jordan, the 77th year of her age, Mrs. Mary Jordan, consort of John Jordan, deceased. She was a consistent member of the Baptist church for sixty one years, and died in the full triumphs of faith with a full assurance of a best immortality. Her body sleeps in the church yard at Mars Hill, of which church she was a member. She leaves six children, all professors of religion. Her house was ever the house of ministers; she always loved those best who seem to love Christ most. Just before her death she joined in singing feebly, though distinctly, that good old hymn, 'How Firm a Foundation' Dearest mother thou hast left us, Here thy loss we deeply feel. But 'tis God that hath bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. F.M. Jordan
