Benjamin Bruton Marriage
State of North Carolina, Montgomery County.
TO ANY Regular Minister of the Gospel having the cure of souls, 
of whatever Denomination; Or to any Justice of the peace of said 
County:
You, or any of you, are hereby authorized and empowered To 
Celebrate and solemnize the Rites of Matrimony between
Benjamin Bruton son of Edmond Bruton and Sarah Bruton
AND
Mary McRae daughter of Fed McRae and Lina McRae
And join them together as Man and Wife.
Witness, P.H. Morris, Register of Deeds of said County at Office 
in Troy, the 29th day of December 1868, and in the 93rd year of 
our Independence.

THIS CERTIFIES THAT Benjamin Bruton son of Edmond 
Bruton and Sarah Bruton, and Mary McRae, daughter of Fed 
McRae and Lina McRae were, by me, united in the Bonds of 
Matrimony, on the 3rd day of January, A.D. 1869, conformably to 
the Ordinance of God and the Laws of the State.
