NC Dated April 2, 1842 In the name of God Amen. I, Benjamin Boles of Montgomery Country and State of North Carolina being of sound and perfect mind and memory (blessed be God) do this the second day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-two make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following. That is to say them first I give to my daughter Stacy Boles my track of Land where I now live containing one hundred and sixty two acres be the same more or less -- and my mare and all of my stock of cattle and hogs -- and three feather beds and furniture and all of the rest of my household and kitchen furniture during her natural life and after her death my will is that my grandson Mastin Boles, son of John Boles will have my land and the said Mastin Boles is to stay with me and Stacy our life time and take care of us and tend the land. I want my just debts all paid and of my stock the balance Stacy can do as she sees proper with. I have already given all the rest of my Children William Boles, Jessee Boles, Henry Boles & Leay Bennet and John Boles each a bed and furniture and a cow and calf and some money which they have had already in possession in my lifetime which is their due portion of my estate. And I hereby make and ordain my worthy friend Joseph Ewing executor of this my last will and testament in witnessing where I the said Benjamin Boles have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the day and year written signed sealed published and declared by the said Benjamin Boles the testator of his last will and testament in the presence of use who were present at the time of signing and sealing there of witnesses Joseph Ewing F W E ------ Signed with his X Benjamin Boles
