Elliott allenelliott@InfoAve.Net ==================================================================== Sampson Sanders Estate 1866 Montgomery County, NC Rodah Sanders Ex Parte Petition for years support North Carolina Court of Pleas & Quarters Session Montgomery County July Term 1866 To the worshipful the Justice of said court the petition of Rodah Sanders, widow of Sampson Sanders respectfully showeth unto your worship that her said husband died intestate in the county of Montgomery with in the last three years and that letters of Adm. on his estate have been granted to Enoch Strider at the present term of this court your petition further showeth that she desires to have her years support allotted to her out of the said estate according to law and to this end she pray, your worships to appoint John Hall, Esq. William Strider, Allen Hudson and H.B. Calicutt to view the said estate and allot to her so much of the stock and provisions as may be adequate to the support of herself and family for one year and if the said estate will not afford such allowance - then to assess the debt In money and report their proceedings under the hands and seals to the next term of this court. Growing crop of potatoes what feed there is on hand not exceeding $5 in value 1 spoon on hand the cooking utensils that is on hand and balance of the kitchen furniture on hand not worth more than $5, wheel & cards on hand what beds that there is on hand not worth exveeding$25 one cupboard on hand with contents not worth more than $10, chairs on hand, 8 head of hogs to make the above mentioned pork John Hall H.P.
