CHAMBERS and wife, JANE vs. WILLIAM FARAR and wife, JULIA et al Petition to divide slaves In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, JAMES H. GANT and wife, reside beyond the limits of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the North Carolina Argus, a newspaper published in the Town of Fayetteville, notifying said defendants to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions to be held for Moore County at the Court House at Carthage on the fourth Monday in October next, then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition filed: Otherwise judgment will be taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte as to them.
