ARCHIBALD McFARLAND

Original Attachment Levied on 30-1/2 acres of Land

In this case, it appearinng to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendant, ARCHIBALD McFARLAND, resides beyond the limits of this State. It is 
therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive 
weeks in the North Carolinian, a newspaper published in the Town of 
Fayetteville, notifying said defendant, non-resident, to be and appear at our 
next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be held for Moore Counmty at the 
Court House at Carthage on the fourth Monday in July next. Then and there to 
plead, answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise, judgment will be 
taken pro confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte as to them. Witness
ALEXANDER C. CURRY, Clerk of the said Court at office in Carthage, on the 
fourth Monday of April , A. D. 1854.
