Original Bill in Equity

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that one of the 
defendants in this case, ARCHIBALD McFARLAND, resides beyond the limits of 
this State, it is therefore ordered by the Court that publication be made for 
six successive weeks in the North Carolina Argus, a newspaper published in the 
town of Fayetteville, notifying said defendant to be and appear at our next 
Court of Equity to be held for Moore County in the Court House at Carthage on 
the Monday before the last Monday in February next. Then and there to plead, 
answer or demur to this petition filed. Otherwise judgment will be taken pro 
confesso and the matter will be heard ex parte as to him. Witness S. C. BRUCE,
Clerk & Master of the said Court at office in Carthage on the Monday before 
the last Monday in August, A.D., 1856.
