JOHN WATSON and wife et al
          vs.
THOMAS ROLLINS, ADM'R et al

Petition for an Account and Settlement

In this case, it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the 
defendants, DANIEL  McFARLAND, MALCOM McFARLAND, the heirs of JOHN McFARLAND, 
and ARCHIBALD McFARLAND reside beyond the limits of the State. It is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for six successive weeks in the 
North Carolina Argus, published at Fayetteville,notifying  the said non-
residents to be and appear at our next Court of Pleas & Quarter Sessions to be 
held for the county of Moore at the Court House in Carthage on the 4th Monday 
of January next, then and there to plead, answer or demur to this petition 
filled Otherwise, the allegations set fort therein will be taken pro confesso 
and the matter will be heard ex parte as to them. Witness A. H. McNEILL, Clerk 
of said Court, at office in Carthage, on the fourth Monday in October, A.D., 
1857.
